Adieu 2013

December 31, 2013 by Mariah 5 Comments

I saw a post by Irvin on Eat the Love, where he asked “what is the best thing that happened to you in 2013?” That got me thinking and 2013 has been an amazing year for us!

Of course topping the list was getting married. How could that not be the top thing?! I got to marry my “one”, my Mr.Perfect…which is really funny because I’m not that kind of girl. I’m one of those that would roll her eyes when the words “the one” was ever discussed. I’m practical and skeptical…at 30 I was not married (nor had ever been)..had not even met P yet. It’s amazing how things change…I met P in 2011. This is the happiest and most content I have felt in my whole life and I can not wait to see what 2014 will bring. Many times I would feel let down when the year would wind down..what did I accomplish that year or what was I really looking forward to in the next…often I was at a loss of concrete wishes or things. Sure, I had happy moments, trips, or accomplishments before, but I never felt as overwhelmed with a year as I do looking back on 2013.

Though 2013 will always hold its title as the year we got married.

I just hopped over to check out your 2013 recap, I hadn’t seen it before! I love your wedding dress, absolutely love it!! That’s pretty much my dream dress. I’m so happy you and P have found each other, you seem made for each other.
Here is to 2015, the best year yet!!!

Love it Mariah! I had no intention of doing an end of year recap, but after seeing so many amazing ones I had to jump onboard. You had a wonderful year, hoping that 2014 is just as good to you.

    Cheers friend!
