Did You Know…

  • Did you know…I didn’t have a middle name? Well, I mean why would you, but anywho. I didn’t, just my first and last name, which never really bothered me. It did however, screw up getting assigned email addresses at work and school on a number of occasions. I do have a middle name now, as I just got my SS card and DL changed over to my new married name. I still have not faced the torture of changing all my other documents (ie my whole life)…fun times, fun times.
Hello My Name is
  • Did you know…. there are T.O.M (time of the month) subscription boxes? I had NO idea about this. It seems a bit odd to me, but I’m pretty much a non-talker about personal things, so maybe that is why. I wish I could forget I even have to deal with it, much less get a box every month. Did you know about these and do any of you subscribe?
  • Did you know…I started a Sunday Linkup with Shannon of Brass Honey and Miriam of Farm Girl? I did, The School of Life Linkup! I hope my life lesson to share this week is NOT– don’t do shameless plugs on Kathy’s link up 🙂 Sorry Kathy…please don’t kick me out!!
Life Lessons
  • Did you know…I don’t have any tattoos nor does P. The discussion of tattoos has seemed a popular topic around the blogosphere lately. I don’t have anything against tattoos, but I don’t know of anything I like enough to have it permanently etched into my skin. Of course with most things in life (eye shadow, shorts, piercings) there is a line between good taste…and, well, poor judgement. Think it over kids, keep it classy, and make sure it has meaning to you 🙂 Also, did you catch “Why You Should Never, Ever, Ever Get A Tattoo (but Having a Baby is Fine)”…it’s pretty funny!

Tribal Tattoos

  • Did you know…we are preparing for a little trip. Forgive me if I’m late with responses this week. You of course will get a full report when we return, or three months later…did you know I took a trip in February and still haven’t finished my post on it 🙂

And finally….

  • Did you know…if you click HERE you will find a whole page of fabulous bloggers all dishing out confessions.

Hmmm…what’s in this TOM box? Chocolate, tissues, dvds, extra strength motrin?

hahaha I will talk about my cooter any day of the week, but I def do not need a time of the month box. I also have 3 tattoos, but made sure that they are all in hidden places so that when I hate them nobody ever has to see them.

Have fun on your trip! I have one tattoo but it’s one with meaning. I want to get another someday but will only if I find one that really resonates and has meaning. I get reminded every month about Aunt Flo when she comes knockin’. I don’t need a subscription box to further enhance the agony.

I don’t have any tattoos either. That’s just way too much of a commitment– and I always think about how when I get old, my skin is just going to get saggy anyways– so any tattoo wouldn’t look quite right. Not cute. PLUS, I could never make up my mind as to what I would want permanently inked onto my skin. And that meme is perfect! Haha…

I think my husband is the only one in his family who has a middle name, and I’m convinced my mother-in-law only gave him one so she could yell his full name when he got into trouble. My sisters and I all have middle names from our grandmothers or favorite aunts. And I have tattoos that I have lived to regret. Seriously considering getting them lasered off so I can wear a formal gown to a formal event and not get looked at sidelong by snobs. I shouldn’t care, but I do. These people are funding {hopefully} all those world cruises I want for my retirement.

I’m the only one out of my mom and sister with a middle name. It makes me feel someone out of place haha! My mom would always get First.X.Last@Company.Com at her jobs. So sad.

My husband has two tattoos and wants a third. I have no tattoos because I can’t settle on anything or care enough about anything to get it tattooed. I think some tattoos are just so beautiful due to artists but I’m too chicken to do anything like that!

One of my roomies in college didn’t have a middle name and when I found out I was like “Wait. What?!? You can do that?” Changing your last name is a pain in the bootie… so I didn’t. I still almost four years later get the stink eye from Matt about not changing it. Sorry honey, not happening. And I still get miffed, almost four years later, when I get mail address to Mrs. His Last Name. Come on people! Get with the program.

    Enjoy your trip!

I have two middle names, you want one? Valerie and Sophia, I actually like them both almost better than my first name lol.
Love the shameless plug, you are promoting genius!

I would like a tattoo, but Rich HATES them with a passion, so I guess I’ll live tat-less. It’s probably better in the long run, there are so many terrible ones out there!
Have a fabulous time on your trip, can’t wait for the re-cap!

My youngest brother doesn’t have a middle name and it pisses me off.

When I got married I dropped my middle name and legally made my maiden name my middle name. I liked my middle name but I didn’t want to have two.

T.O.M. boxes? Get the F out of here.

I’ve seen those boxes and I’m sorry but no. There is no cutesy-fying that horrendous time. Just get me through the grocery store check-out with the necessities tucked between the bread and milk and that’s all I need. And I am the same way with tattoos… Andrew has one and I think it’s perfectly tasteful (between his shoulderblades) but there’s nothing I want on me for the rest of my life. My cousin just got a tattoo on her forearm of her pug and her bird. It’s… interesting.

I love tattoos but tribal tattoos not so much. I think they are really popular now and unless they are done good they just look weird. My ex had one tribal tattoo and it looked horrible. My name was changed from my birth certificate to my current name. The nurses spelled my name wrong when they wrote it down so my mom had to go to court to get it changed to the right spelling. Because there are numerous ways to spell Christina.

My aunt does not have a middle name just an initial which is weird because my mom and uncle do! Also I found changing my name to be pretty easy but even now after three years sometimes either me or Fredrik will call me by my maiden name on accident!
