So, first things first…we have a new button and I’m so very proud of it! It seriously makes me really happy…which is a bit silly but it does. It is perfect because it now has a piece contributed by each Miriam, Shannon, and me! The picture is from Miriam, of course the idea and name was from Shannon, and I stuck the whole thing together. Behold the pretty, pretty button 🙂 Now grab it and link up below!

- Sometimes coloring outside the lines helps you broaden your horizons. I like structure and rules, and a path to take, but at the same time I often get too caught up in the “right” steps and end up frozen. I often find myself happier, for instance in blogging when I let the rules go and just do what feels right to me. I spend so much energy just trying to figure it out and do things the “right” way when I most likely would have been less stressed and still gotten the same results. I let small comments or rules take up too much space in my head sometimes, and I completely over complicate and over think things. It can be hard to be confident in yourself, but it is worth it.
- Timing is hard. It is so hard to know, or pick, the right time for things. When is the right time to make that career change…take that trip you have been dreaming of…or, some other leap of faith? Is it the right time…what does the “right time” even mean? Sometimes, I feel it is easy to use timing as an excuse to avoid change or avoid taking action because of fear. I really battle between am I making a sound decision or am I avoiding fear and uncertainty.
- Don’t buy things you really should not be, or you don’t want to be, eating. Seems obvious but I find it a bit tricky. For example, I’ve found these gummy bears that I’m currently obsessing over. No corn syrup, no artificial dyes or flavors, but I know I still don’t really need them. I should be eating fruit if I need a snack. Plus, they are just filler. It’s not like gummy bears are going to fill you up. This week they were on sale so we got two packages. Guess what? We ate both packages in like 2 days (in my defense they are small packages and they have 100% vitamin C) :). So really, if you want to eat healthier, don’t bring junk into the house in the first place. If you really want ice cream, go out for it or buy a single, because we all know where the rest is going to end up, don’t we. 🙂
P.S. I bought this final pack of gummy bears just to take this picture…did you really think I thought ahead and snapped a picture of my first ones? 🙂 After, this one I’m done, I’m off the gummy bear train 😉
Wishing you guys a great week ahead! So, tell me what lessons did you learn this past week?
