Do you know someone who drinks beer, talks about beer, brews beer, has over 500 check-ins on Untapped, knows what Untapped is? Then you might know a beer geek 🙂 Here are few suggestions from your resident blogger beer geek on what to get said person for Christmas (or Birthday or whatever).

1. Periodic Table of Beer Styles Poster
Now, you can’t really get more geeky than a periodic table. This is an especially good gift for someone who is a hombrewer, thinking about starting hombrewing, or who just likes knowing the geeky technical stuff about their beverage. A word of warning before you hit purchase, does said receiver live with you and do you have a space you would want this print hung? I love beer and all but would not want this in our living room. Just something to think about.Â
2. Beer Soap Company Soap
When merely drinking beer is not enough, and you want to take your love of beer further…ok that sounds dirty…take beer into the shower…ummm no. Ok, you think beer is cool and the soap is a neat idea. This company has a ton of soap choices made from a variety of styles. I think it’s a cool idea.
3. Hop Socks
While you may not be able to take a beer into your office, you can still show people you are a hop head. The hop sock lets you express your love of beer even when you can’t be drinking it. You can wear them when drinking too, no worries, it’s not like wearing the band shirt to the show. Perfect for all occasions.
4. Spiegelau Beer Glass Tasting Set
The classy gift for the classy beer drinker. Gone are the days of drinking beer straight from the bottle or the pedestrian pint glass, a true connoisseur needs the right glassware. No matter the beer style, this box has your glassware needs covered.
5. Magnetic Bottle Opener
Does the fear of piles of beer caps accumulating under your fridge or stove plague you? Then this bottle opener is your answer. For real peeps, we have one of these (thanks E&J), and it is the best bottle opener EVER. This design opens the bottles with very little force and it doesn’t bend the caps at all. This is a must for anyone who uses bottle caps for craft projects…and if you do let a girl know because I could help you out with that 🙂
Of course most beer geeks will also accept actual beer as a gift too 🙂 Bonus tip: if you are giving beer as a gift, buy beer that has not been refrigerated. It’s not good for beer to go from hot to cold too many times.
Cheers!!
