Goodbye 2014

Year End Wrap-up of 2014

I can’t believe that 2014 has come to a close, it seems just like yesterday that I was saying adieu to 2013. This year brought some major changes for P and I. Let’s see we…

Most notable, moved from North Carolina to California. So crazy, we didn’t really expect this year to take us across the country, but it did. We have been having fun exploring our new city and I’ve gotten to be real life friends with Shannon from Brass Honey!

Learned new skills

Even though I don’t always feel like it, when I look back on the year I actually did learn quite a bit! It’s funny all the things that a year ago I didn’t know anything about and while still not an expert I know I’ve made progress. This year I started using Photoshop & Illustrator, learned a bit about HTML & CSS, got a DSLR camera, experimented in the kitchen & started knitting.

My overall impression of 2014 was that is was a whirlwind and honestly it did seem to go by in a blink of an eye. It was a weird year for me personally, and felt that I had a lot of anxieties and self doubt plague me. I certainly had good times, but I just didn’t feel 100% me. I’m looking forward to a great 2015 and hope that I find my direction and passion again.

What’s your favorite memory from 2014?

It was so fun to watch your life change so quickly through this blog. I keep hearing from everyone that 2014 was most definitely the fastest year to date. It seems like it was just a really long five weeks instead of 52.

Happiest new year to you and your fam! 🙂

I love recaps, because they remind us of all the things we have actually done and achieved, despite how we may feel about the year. Your year was so eventful and exciting, it really was a whirlwind! I can’t wait to see what 2015 will bring for you and your little family. Looking forward to watching your journey!

We had a similar journey this year in moving to a new state as well. I can relate to not feeling quite like myself for parts of this year. I think that 2015 is going to be the year to focus on me and what drives me.

I feel like I just couldn’t keep up with my own goals and ideas during this year! I think next year I’m going to be scaling back on some things and really focusing on others. But we’ll see how it goes! Wishing you an amazing 2015!

i think i feel the same way about 2014. i didn’t quite feel me.. and i felt like i was constantly just playing catch up that i had no time to figure out what it was supposed to feel like. can’t wait for 2015 to be way more at a relaxed pace! definitely going to dump a few things off my plate this year.
