I can’t believe we are already into Week 6 of our life lessons! Damn you time and your sneaky ways…don’t worry this one is not going to include another rant on time 🙂 I don’t want to be a broken record. I’ll wait until week 12 to pick that topic up again…ha, ha! So, I feel like I’ve had some deep life lessons lately, so I’m going to lighten this one up a little. To be honest, I think my brain is refusing any deep thoughts at this time. Check back later 😉
I learned this week…
- Hulu (or Bravo) or whoever the tv powers at be are, just released all of the Real Housewives Series on Hulu. ALL. I feel some binge watching coming on! Also, we discovered a pretty funny show, Bored To Death. You should check it out, and yes, “we discovered”, meaning P did, but I’m taking bloggerland credit 🙂
- That you can now use your own fonts on PicMonkey. There is now a “ours” and “yours” buttons under the text menu.
You can find lots of free fonts from Google Fonts and Font Squirrel. I think PicMonkey is a very nice/user friendly design site. I do try to do most of my design in Adobe, since I want to develop those skills, but I still use PicMonkey to do some quick picture collages & edits. While, we are on the topic of design sites, I also think Canva is another good one.
- I really dislike the high waisted short trend. I just think it looks terrible. We went to see Vampire Weekend this week and half the audience was rocking the high waisted shorts (mostly teens). I also realized, I like when a band plays more of their popular songs, with one or two new songs mixed in. If it is all new material that I don’t recognize, I’m a bit disappointed. Vampire Weekend had a good mix; I really like when you can sing along and dance around to songs you know. It was a really good show! In case you are not familiar with Vampire Weekend, I’ve included a few songs below.
